Ofsted and Awards

 The school's last OFSTED inspection was in January 2018. The school remains good overall, with many positive comments.

 " The newly created inclusion team have successfully reduced rates of persistent absence. Attendance rates across the school also improved in 2017 to be close to the national average."

 

 "Pupils are responding and have very good attitudes to learning. They are ready to learn, attentive and demonstrate resilience by persevering with work in lessons."

 

 " Year 6 pupils explained how they were ‘always up for a challenge’."

Stephen Lawrence Award

In October 2002 the school was extremely proud to receive the Stephen Lawrence Award presented by Education Leeds. This award is in memory of Stephen Lawrence who was murdered in a racist attack and recognises the achievements of Kerr Mackie in the field of equal opportunity and race equality.
