We are also looking for someone who is highly motivated with a desire to continually develop their own leadership skills through leading English across the whole school. You will provide professional leadership of English to secure high quality teaching; effective use of resources and improved standards of learning and achievement for all pupils.

Kerr Mackie is a large primary school in the Roundhay area of Leeds. The school is multi-cultural with pupils from a wide range of backgrounds. Our creative curriculum and teaching approaches together with the vibrant learning environments enthuse, engage and motivate our children.

We are seeking to appoint a passionate and inclusive Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work with children in Early Years. Experience of working in Early Years would be highly desirable. The post will involve working with the class teacher supporting, observing and assessing all children using Tapestry, but also taking on the focused role of key worker. Some lunchtime duties will be required.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be committed to the provision of high quality early years education.
  • Have high expectations of children.
  • Have well developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work closely within a staff team and families to support children’s learning needs.
  • Have a sense of fun, enthusiasm and drive.
