We have been lucky enough to have be chosen to take part in a preventative programme for a week. The programme is called Get Away ‘N’ Get Safe (GANGS),
It is a five session educational programme, which aims to explore the dangers of involvement in gang and organised crime groups. GANGS aims to empower young people to make informed decisions about their current or future associates. This will hopefully help to reduce the potential risk of harm from gang and organised crime group related behaviour.
The GANGS programme aims to make a simple message very clear, ‘Get Away ‘N’ Get Safe’ – helping young people to think and reflect upon the choices they make and inspiring young people to take control of their own lives.
We think that it will be beneficial for some of our year 6 children and hopefully they will all take a great deal from it to. The programme will start the week commencing 19th November.
